Pole Shaking I

Chen Tai Chi pole shaking is unlike normal Kung Fu pole shaking. This is performed with a unique kind of strong flexible wood called waxwood. Unlike other pole shaking, which strengthen grip strength and upper body strength, Chen Tai Chi pole shaking strengthens the ENTIRE body and build flexibility in legs. This is done with longer waxwood staffs that are 12′ – 14′ long.

This method was passed down by GM Cheng Jin Cai (indoor disciple of Chen Zhao Kui) and gradually perfected by Master Wong who trained with GM Cheng from 1999 to his death in 2016. This secret training form was passed down by Chen Zhao Kui and NO other school in the world knows this training method.
