Pole Shaking I

Chen Tai Chi pole shaking is unlike normal Kung Fu pole shaking. This is performed with a unique kind of strong flexible wood called waxwood. Unlike other pole shaking, which strengthen grip strength and upper body strength, Chen Tai Chi pole shaking strengthens the ENTIRE body and build flexibility in legs. This is done with longer waxwood staffs that are 12′ – 14′ long.

This method was passed down by GM Cheng Jin Cai and gradually perfected by Master Wong. This one simple form originated in Chen Village.

This one simple form is for all Tai Chi practitioner to develop:

  • Stamina
  • Opening Kwa
